With an educational background in circus and physical theatre she has a very rounded experience when it comes to research and developing ideas through a skills based medium.
Her main pieces she created centered around the body and the human experience. From faceless naked rope performance work to Burlesque/Clown hat juggling stripteases and shibari kink inspired aerial chains. She has a strong focus on the female experience through objectification and sexualisation.
This is something that she has carries through into her own artwork. From A-Levels she has used herself as a treference for human form studies, finding self-love and acceptance of her body through art. Having always been interested in the movement and imagery of the female form, she has spent the last few years exploring different ways she can create form through marks and colour on the canvas. Heavily influenced by her role as a sxwrker/stripper she has a strong pull to garish unrealistic colour is, with elements that link to something more comic book, mirroring this idea of stories we tell and extremes we play through the characterization of ourselves, the female tropes and archetypes. She very interested in the line of artistic expression between female nude, eroticism and what would be described as porn.
